Do I see a slight reference to Breaking the Habit or rather general early 2000s music video aesthetics on top of that iron in the end :) I love it, its such a nice flow and direction of collaborators !

StudioGEARHEAD responds:

You are completely right! We didn’t reference Breaking the Habit specifically but we wanted to give the whole thing a very Y2K late-night music vid sort of feel. Truth be told the backgrounds in that part w/ the kaleidoscope effect were done out of necessity: by the end we had vvv little time to make more detailed backgrounds. The one with Ninamori is actually an off-screen recording of Jet Set Radio playing on my CRT. All that stuff was just video recordings with a bunch of effects. The close-up of the guitar was a reference to the ending of the SpongeBob movie LOL.

Wow mindblowing amount of detail in the 3D animation. Were some scenes with practical effects like the forrest or some ships ? I just love that stylistic flow you have in your works. I can watch this again and again and see new details pop up here and there.

Schuschinus responds:

Thanks!
The forest is real, the ships are cgi, but designed with practical effects in mind.

The hand drawn animations are so fluid ! Love it. Also the practical effects spaceships are awesome !

Schuschinus responds:

Thank you! :)

Wtf was I watching ! Top notch animation, that strange but elduding blend of styles with 3D, filmed parts and hand frame drawn animation was fascinating to watch. This is what really drew me in and kept me watching. But the story and dialog leave me undecided. Its crazy and over the top and fit the animation style blend, but together its a bit too much.

Schuschinus responds:

Yes, the story is weird. I don´t want to make lengthy dialogues, but a conventional story is dull, when it´s not carried by well written dialogues. So I decided to make it crazy.

Wow marvelous animation! I never played it but the sheer amount of fanart and creativity coming from this makes me intrigued.

4thNoah responds:

you should play it . its a really neat indie game with fantastic soundtrack and very interesting game play.

genius :D

Its funny and grotesque at the same time ,with these red-backgrounded scenes throughout the movie and the partly animation and unexpected slow animation at points where fast ones are expected this whole movie makes a somewhat twisted impression :D

ClockworkPixel responds:

haha brilliant i wanted it to seem strange and off beat but alot was by accident, thanks

well

It turned out well in the end. I really like the seal clubbing :D Well ,the trailer ,not seal clubbing itself !11 Im a good person.
Fatonetta and acapella Singstar also were pretty funny.
However I have to admit that some entries weren't up for the standart though.

Red fraction has a funny idea, but the trailer is very minimalistic. Best thing was the divide by zero explosion.
I would have appreciated some mathematical talk by the numbers. That would have been an improvement. And a slightly more detailed optic.

Archawn responds:

Yep.

lawl

"omniscient olfactory overlord of the universe" :D Man that got me !

FutureSmello responds:

That was one of the more subtle jokes, I'm glad you got it!

Awesome

I liked it a lot. For a change not a completly nonsense slapstick comedy animation. I like that there was something like a morale in the end. And the camerashakes made it feel lively ,however in some scenes it was a bit too much ,for example when he lies in bed at the first part.

Nightwayfarer responds:

camera is my sickness, so i guess i did use it too much)

I have a PhD in bioinformatics and art is my hobby.
